Set clear goals and targets to reduce the liver disease burden.
Advocacy

Promote services and programs tailored to the needs of affected populations in different settings, including centralized testing and treatment in urban and peri-urban settings and decentralized testing and treatment in rural and remote areas.

Embrace, support and contribute to effective inter-country, inter-regional and global liver disease networks and partnerships.
Policy Development

Support APAC governments to develop their own national liver disease action plans within an overarching and integrated national policy that tackles hepatitis, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), nonalcoholic fatty liver disease/nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NAFLD/NASH) and cirrhosis.

Promote strategies for early screening, surveillance, diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases.

Reinforce the need for increased financial resources for liver diseases – through external or domestic funding – and include viral hepatitis and HCC prevention, early screening, diagnosis and treatment as part of essential national health benefit packages.
